A lot can happen in a year – the education sector has seen a pay rise for teachers, a new Ofsted inspection framework, and an updated National Curriculum, among many other significant changes. We’ve had a busy year, too, including adding more schools to the Bromcom family, growing as a team, and hitting yet more exciting milestones. To keep you up to date, I compiled this blog of our top stats from 2025.
Bromcom gets ready to turn 40
Bromcom was founded in 1986, so in July we officially turned 39 – but in 2026, we’re turning 40, which we’re way more excited for! We can’t wait to start celebrating four decades of innovation and working with schools. Speaking of birthdays, next year will be the 14th anniversary of our cloud MIS.
Nearly 1000 schools chose to switch to Bromcom
This year, over 900 schools have chosen to switch to Bromcom including over 750 primary schools and over 100 multi-academy trusts, bringing us to over 5,600 schools in total that have chosen to switch to our solutions.
3 Welsh local authorities chose to switch to Bromcom
Following on from our historic wins last year in Wales (the first two LAs to switch from their incumbent MIS provider switched to Bromcom!), three more Welsh LAs chose to switch all their schools to Bromcom: Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council chose Bromcom MIS, while both Cyngor Gwynedd and Swansea Council chose a combined MIS and Finance package.
We’re also proud to confirm that of the seven Welsh LAs that have switched MIS from their legacy provider, five have chosen to switch to Bromcom.
We attended, hosted, and took part in 39 events
Our busiest year for events yet, this included our flagship event at The Shard that we hold annually in June, as well as Bett 2025 (which we will be attending again in 2026!).
Nearly 1300 people attended our AI in Education webinars, and over 300 downloaded the complementary guides
Over the course of 2025, we hosted four webinars all about AI in Education, covering all manner of topics including the basics for AI novices, practical use cases in the classroom, and the future of AI in schools. You can watch the overwhelmingly popular recorded webinars and read the in-demand downloadable guides on our website.
We announced three Centres of Excellence
This year we announced our new Centre of Excellence (CoE) programme for support centres. So far, Scomis, Cygnet, and The Education Space are our first CoEs, and we anticipate more will be awarded this prestigious title in 2026. We want to nurture the support ecosystem that schools love and ensure that you get the best value from our solutions. Click here to learn more about our CoE programme.
We released 300 new features
It’s been another year of innovation, here at Bromcom! We enhanced and upgraded a number of products and modules including Options, wTimeTable, and Exams which will improve the capabilities of our solutions and make them even easier to use.
See you in 2026!
We’re sure the new year will bring plenty more exciting milestones – to keep up with them, make sure you’re following us on LinkedIn and Facebook.
