
Bromcom has played a critical role in their People Strategy
According to Mark, one of the biggest impacts Bromcom has had on the trust is in supporting their People Strategy and supporting Headteachers in further reducing staff absence.
“Post-Covid, many trusts have been reckoning with high staff absence rates. Not only does this drive up costs when you try to find cover, we want our students to be taught by teachers that know the kids well and know how to correctly follow our procedures, and we obviously want the best for our teachers.”
To help them better track and understand teacher absence, we created User Defined Panels in their MIS which enabled the trust’s schools to log staff absences in much greater detail than before. We also created reporting lines around absence reasons to help them build more nuanced reports about staff absence. This has already reduced absences considerably, Mark continues:
“We can now clearly how the staff absence procedure is working in schools, and look for trends in staff absences as well as trends around the use of agency and supply staff. As a result, we can provide better support to staff which will minimise absences and find more cost-effective ways to cover them in the event they’re off. Since we’ve had the User Defined Panels, we’ve been able to reduce staff absence by 1000 days.”
We helped them develop their Quality Assurance System
Another part of the system we customised for the trust was integrating their Quality Assurance System (QAS) into the MIS which has been particularly beneficial for the board.
“For the first time,” Mark says, “the board can report on QAS directly out of the MIS. It saves us a significant amount of time compared to building the reports manually, and is a big leap forward in the professionalism of the QAS. I’m sure integrating it with the MIS wasn’t by any means a straightforward task but Bromcom made it seamless.”
Embedding the QAS into their MIS is part of the process that has seen three of the trust’s schools improving to a ‘good’ Ofsted rating, among other positive impacts.
“Now, we’re looking forward to getting a better understanding of integration with the MIS so we can get even more out of the system, particularly when it comes to reporting.”
Reflecting on the past 12 months – and looking ahead
Since going live with Bromcom MIS and Bromcom Vision, Create Partnership Trust have reported back a very positive experience.
“We’re much happier compared to when we were with our previous MIS provider”, Mark says, “and I’m confident we will have a long-term relationship with Bromcom well into the future.”

Our Customer Success Managers support customers throughout their entire time with Bromcom, from when they transition to their new MIS to regular check-ins that help them get the most out of their system.
