Streamlined user experience (UX)
While everybody appreciates aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eye designs, not everybody actually benefits from them. Bromcom prioritises user experience over user interface, meaning less clicks, quicker navigation, and richer functionality, all while still looking slick. Our system is built with the guidance of user feedback and the aim of improving, streamlining, and enhancing our user’s experience. We also offer entry level MIS packages, which may be more suitable to smaller primaries, under the notion that additional products and modules can be purchased as/when/if they are needed.
“Bromcom has truly exceeded our expectations! We’re thrilled to give it a 100% rating. It’s a significant improvement from the SIMs we used previously. The intuitive interface and effortless installation make it stand out. Overall seamless experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Bromcom for its user-friendliness and smooth integration.” – Stephanie Hinksman, Riverside Primary School.
Flexible assessment
Bromcom is one of the only MIS providers to offer flexible assessment built-in to its MIS out of the box. Whether you are looking for primary tracker, analysis, or simple marksheet creation, all of this is readily available within Bromcom, and assessment leads are free to configure this module to suit their needs. With most other MIS providers, you will find that there is far less flexibility and customisability, you may even require said MIS provider to implement desired changes that you cannot achieve as a front-end user.
“Once you’ve familiarized yourself with Bromcom, the possibilities open up. There are numerous ways to accomplish tasks, providing flexibility in your approach. It is not a one-size-fits-all system; you can explore various avenues and make changes. While there is a learning curve, navigating Bromcom becomes much easier over time, unlocking its full potential for efficient and personalized use.” – Maxine Oakes, Colgate Primary School.
MyChildAtSchool – parent portal/app
Arguably the biggest ace in Bromcom deck of cards is the extremely highly regarded MyChildAtSchool platform: a free parent portal that lets parents keep up with their child’s performance. Whether it is booking parents evenings, clubs and trips, or wraparound care services, MyChildAtSchool increases parental engagement, saves paper, and automatically reflects data housed in Bromcom MIS, meaning no manual updates or discrepancies. Compared to its rivals, MyChildAtSchool is streets ahead of the competition, which is often a massively influential factor when primary schools consider new MIS providers. The push notification functionality is also considered to be the most efficient method of communication to parents, with messages and alerts delivering straight to parents’ devices.
“MCAS has transformed our communication approach, offering incredible capabilities. Our internal adoption built confidence, and the gradual introduction to parents has been a success, leading to steady progress. The product’s effectiveness is evident, and we eagerly await full implementation. Milestone achievements with MCAS bring immense excitement, highlighting its positive impact on our communication processes. This powerful tool has significantly boosted our overall efficiency and connectivity, making it an invaluable asset for our organization.” – Tordorka Rolfe, Courthouse Junior School.
Built for attendance
With attendance management comprising much of our company’s fabric, it is only fitting that our system allows primary schools to take, monitor, and oversee attendance in the most efficient and simple manner possible. With our bespoke teacher dashboard and plethora of locations where attendance can be inputted, primary schools enjoy reduced admin burden and greater oversight, freeing up more time to focus on their students. Administrative access can also be granted or revoked to specific users, ensuring that data remains protected and cannot easily be overwritten. With AM/PM attendance of the upmost importance, we have made it easy to both view and track this for all of our primary users.
“Absolutely thrilled with the organization of the child profiles and the visual aids like pie charts and graphs! Our bi-weekly newsletter, featuring attendance percentages for each class, keeps everyone in the loop effectively. Being able to customize dates, times, and percentages adds an extra layer of convenience. It’s truly been a game-changer for us in tracking progress and staying connected. Highly recommend it!” – Georgina Ritchie, Thakeham Primary School.
Comprehensive training
Having a functionality rich system with all the bells and whistles is great but new users still need to be taught how to use it. Over the years we have focused predominantly on strengthening the training and onboarding processes that we offer schools joining Bromcom, to ensure they get off to a strong start and adapt seamlessly to their new MIS. Whether it’s a free webinar, an interactive training course, or an on-site visit from our expert trainers, we make sure to alleviate any concerns of new primary schools and provide them with the tools to succeed. On average, our onboarding timeframe for primary schools is around 8 weeks from the initial migration discovery call, where timelines and phases will be discussed.
“Bromcom’s system has truly transformed our teaching experience. The interface is user-friendly, allowing us to effortlessly draw our dinner numbers. It is a highly efficient and comprehensive platform that meets all our needs. The online training was intuitive, and their customer support is top-notch, providing quick and effective solutions. Our journey with Bromcom has been exceptional, earning them a resounding 10 out of 10!” – Lynn Sanderson, Captain Webb Primary School.
BromCommunity
As a bonus, I’ll cover one additional factor that is growing increasingly influential, particularly for primary schools.
In 2022, we made the decision to create our own community platform, just for Bromcom users. This would allow like-minded individuals to connect, learn from each other, and discuss best practices, especially during their first few months of using Bromcom. Since then, our community has soared to 6000 daily users, and continues to grow and more schools make the switch to Bromcom. This has allowed schools to save countless hours and learn new ways to maximise their use of Bromcom. To learn more about the BromCommunity, check out our recent blog here.
