In today’s blog, I’m going to explore the different ways Bromcom ensures schools, trusts, and LAs are always fully prepared for the future.


Our MIS is immediately adjusted to new DfE requirements

Bromcom MIS is a highly adaptable system that can be optimised and updated as and when required. This of course includes when new DfE requirements are brought in and quick adjustments are needed to make sure our customers remain compliant with them.

Take the new regulation brought in last year that requires schools to retain six years of attendance data: Bromcom instantly changed its migration policy to ensure it now migrates seven years of data as standard. Schools, trusts, and LAs can be confident that we respond to policy changes quickly and flexibly.


We continuously take on board customer feedback and ideas

Over the past year in particular we have prioritised listening closely to customer feedback and using that to optimise and enhance our solutions. We now have several working groups on-hand spanning a range of topics including exams, SEND, AI, MyChildAtSchool (our parent portal), and Power BI who help us refine ideas for product development. We also directly pull new ideas from our Ideas Portal, where users can share and vote different ideas they want to see in the MIS.

With one ear to the ground, Bromcom will always be willing and able to adjust and optimise its solutions based on schools’ requirements, no matter how they change.


Our Product Team regularly scopes out new technologies

We regularly explore new advances in technology to see if they can improve the user experience and simply make teachers’ and staff’s lives easier. Our investment in AI is a great example of this: the first MIS provider to incorporate AI into an MIS, our AI can answer general queries, find data, identify trends, and generate content including emails, letters, lesson plans, and homework.

We have continued to make investments in Bromcom AI which now also includes Predictive Analytics, Automated Reporting, and Insight-led Workflows, and are looking forward to improving it yet again it in the future.
